LANSING SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE FORUM

The League of Women Voters of Tompkins County will sponsor a School Board Candidate Forum for the Lansing Central School District.  The event will be held May 13, 7pm in room LGI at the Lansing High School.  The forum will be limited to one hour because of the board budget hearing at 6pm and the board meeting at 8pm.

Candidates include Aziza Benson (incumbent), Ami Stallone, Aaron Thompson (incumbent) and Carl Schimmelfinger.  Information regarding the School Board and the Candidates can be found  at https://www.lansingschools.org/Page/35

Written questions for the Candidates will be collected from the audience on note cards handed out at the meeting.  Those unable to attend may submit questions in advance at pres.tclwv@gmail.com or Debbie.Todd@lcsd.k12.ny.us until 9pm, May 12.

The Lansing School Board Election takes place on May 21.

Note:  School Board Elections are important and concern all of us.  School Board Elections for all school districts in the County are run independently from the County Board of Elections and take place on Tuesday May 21.  Information regarding each election can be obtained from the School District Clerks.
