Beginning on Friday, October 11, you can go to WWW.VOTE411.ORG to find what you need to know about the November 5, 2024 General Election.
VOTE411 is a national, non-partisan voting resource that provides a “one-stop shop” for all the information you need to register and cast your ballot. You can enter your home address to learn which elections are being held within your district. Find out how to vote in-person or with an absentee or mail-in ballot. Information is also provided on each candidate, including their background and, if they choose to respond, answers to questions about their stances on issues and priorities. You can also find information on any Proposals or Propositions that will appear on the back of your ballot.
Residents of Tompkins County will be voting on our country’s President and Vice President, as well as our Representatives to the U.S. Congress, including the Senate and House District 19. Races for the New York State Legislature include Assembly District 125 and Senate District 52. Also on the ballot for Tompkins County will be the District Attorney and the County Court Judge.
Be sure to flip your ballot over to vote on Proposal 1: The New York State Equal Rights Amendment.
Residents of the towns of Caroline and Lansing will each be voting on their Town Councilperson, and the Town of Ulysses will be voting on a Town Justice. The position of City Court Judge will be on the ballot for the City of Ithaca.
Deadline to register is Saturday, October 26!
Early voting will be Saturday, October 26– Sunday, November 3.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.
