Propositions:
1. 2024-2025 Budget: Shall the Board of Education of the Newfield Central School District be authorized to spend $25,482,411 for the purpose of operating the school district for the 2024-2025 school year and to levy the necessary tax thereafter?

2. New Vehicle Purchases: Resolved that the Board of Education of the Newfield Central School District is hereby authorized to undertake the acquisition of one van, at an estimated maximum cost of $51,000, and either one electric school bus, with charging station, or one diesel school bus, at an estimated initial maximum acquisition cost of $505,000, but with an estimated net maximum cost in either case of $182,750 after the receipt of acquisition and infrastructure grants, if applicable, and bus trade-in value, if any; and that such costs, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the levy of a tax to be collected in annual installments; and, in anticipation of such tax, debt obligations of the school district not to exceed $556,000, or so much as may be necessary, shall be issued. The actual expense to the taxpayer will not exceed $233,750 combined expense for the bus and van.

3. 2024 Capital Reserve Fund: Resolved, the Board of Education of the Newfield Central School District is hereby authorized to establish a capital reserve fund pursuant to Section 3651 of the Education Law to be designated, “2024 Capital Reserve Fund” created to defray the cost of the construction, reconstruction and equipping of School District buildings, facilities, and land, including original equipment, machinery, apparatus, appurtenances, furnishings, land acquisitions, and other incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith, and in order to accomplish the same, the Board is hereby authorized to establish the ultimate amount of such reserve fund to Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000) inclusive of accrued interest and other investment earnings, with a probable term of ten (10) years. The Board of Education is hereby authorized to pay funds from the available fund balance, state aid reimbursement to the School District on account of capital projects, such other monies as the voters may direct, and/or other legally available funds of the School District to such reserve fund in an amount determined by the Board of Education up to the maximum authorized amount.

4. Public Library Tax Levy: Shall the proposition be approved authorizing the Board of Education of Newfield School District to increase the tax levy from seventy-six thousand dollars ($76,000) to the sum of eighty-one thousand dollars ($81,000) and shall such sum be paid annually to the Trustees of the Newfield Public Library.
