PPGNY would LOVE for League members to show our support in person! \nThis package is made up of: \n\nA Resolution\nDeclaring the City of Ithaca a Safe Haven for Gender-Affirming Healthcare through Adoption of a Gender-Affirming Healthcare Policy:\nThis resolution would declare the city of Ithaca a Safe Haven for Gender-Affirming Healthcare and would ensure that healthcare providers and individuals do not face punishment for seeking or providing Gender-Affirming Healthcare.\nAn Ordinance\nAmending the Ithaca Municipal Code to include “Protection of Transgender and Gender Rights”:\nThis ordinance would protect gender-affirming care and the right to seek gender-affirming care. It would also prevent the city of Ithaca from using resources from detaining persons seeking gender-affirming care.\n\nBoth pieces of legislation can be forwarded to interested members. \nThe committee will be meeting on August 23th at 6pm on the 3rd floor of City Hall – 108 E.
